About Me

I am a 40ish year old father of two wonderful girls, a husband, a small business owner and recreational cyclist.

I thought when my special needs daughter was born it was the worst thing imaginable. I won’t lie, my family are much stronger out of the adversity we have faced together. However we still lead a privileged life and now I have the opportunity to help other special needs children in a place where their futures would normally be very bleak.

A few years ago I participated in my first CNCF challenge and enjoyed the training, meeting other challengers from around the globe and then, of course, the challenge itself. I was also really proud of the difference I was able to make by fundraising.

Cycling through a country is an amazing way to see and understand another way of life; I got to meet locals that were genuinely welcoming and happy despite not living in the best of circumstances.

I saw first-hand the impact that the money donated had in the rural areas of the Mekong Delta. I visited a primary school that had been built from the funds of a previous group challenge and although the sums raised are modest the ability of the foundation to convert them into real word benefit is an amazing thing to see.

Your donation not only motivates me everyday I am training, it also helps #breakthecycle of poverty and exploitation by providing education to disadvantaged and vulnerable children in Vietnam.

Please dig deep and help me make a difference again!
